This document serves to inform members and prospective members of the Virtual Israeli Air Force (vIAF) of how the organisation gathers and manages user data.
The vIAF is compliant with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a copy of which is available here, and with VATSIM's privacy policy which can be found here.
This policy is applicable to all current and past members of the vIAF organisation, as well as any new applicants and prospective members.
Data collected by the vIAF includes:
The vIAF public roster webpage displays pilot names and VATSIM CIDs. Email addresses are never shared publicly. Any member may request that their last name be abbreviated to an initial on any public-facing webpage.
Data is collected via Google Form and is retained within that platform. Only vIAF staff members have access to the form and its results.
As members of the VATSIM network and in compliance with the GDPR, members have certain rights regarding their personal data, including but not limited to:
Personal data submitted via the application Google Form is retained by the vIAF to provide a quicker re-application process and to maintain a record of any members whose membership has been terminated by the staff team.
Any and all changes to this policy will be announced via message on the vIAF Discord server.
