This document serves to inform members and prospective members of the virtual Israeli Air Force (vIAF) of how the organization gathers and manages user data.
The vIAF is compliant with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a copy of which is available here and with VATSIM’s privacy policy which can be found here.
This policy is applicable to all current and past members of the vIAF organization as well as any new applicants/prospective members.
The vIAF does not sell or share user data with any party.
Data collected includes:
The vIAF roster webpage contains pilot names and VATSIM CIDs but emails are not shared publicly. Any user may request their last name be abbreviated to an initial on any public facing webpage.
Data is collected via Google Form and is retained within that platform. Only staff members have access to this form and its results.
As members of the VATSIM network and in compliance with the GDPR policy, members have certain rights granted to them regarding their personal data. They include but are not limited to:
Personal data submitted in the application Google Form is retained by the vIAF to provide a quicker re-application process and to ensure record of any members who have been terminated by the staff team.
Any and all changes to this policy will be announced via message on the vIAF Discord server.
